Shut the main if the ceiling is moving.

Valves and fittings
  1. Find the meter. In most Ann Arbor rentals it is inside, on the street wall, down low.
  2. The house valve is on the house side of the meter. Turn it clockwise.
  3. Open a low faucet and one upstairs so the lines drain.
  4. If the valve will not move, leave it. Forcing it is how a basement fills. Call (734) 555-0124.
